During the week of Feb. 5-9, 2024, the 725th Air Mobility Squadron, Naval Station Rota and the 496th Air Base Squadron conducted Exercise Rising Phoenix by simulating a natural disaster to assess and demonstrate the joint effort between the units during surging operations to support enroute Air Mobility Command aircraft heading downrange. During the week-long exercise, the joint force supported 12 AMC missions, ferrying 290k lbs. of cargo, 89 passengers and 42 aircrew to accomplish 97% of their desired learning objectives.
