Former MIA Airman laid to rest at Arlington after nearly 40 years
A horse-drawn caisson pulled by the U.S. Army's 3rd Infantry Regiment, the "Old Guard," leads the funeral procession as they carry former missing in action Airman Maj. Robert F. Woods to his final resting place at Arlington National Cemetery April 9, 2008. Following the caisson is a team from the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard from Bolling Air Force Base, D.C., who provided care for Major Woods during the funeral. Major Woods was buried nearly 40 years after he disappeared in Vietnam on June 26, 1968. (U.S. Air Force Photo/Tech. Sgt. Scott T. Sturkol)
